we closed on the club june 29, and have learned more about actually running a business in the last week than during a semester of grad school. (they never mentioned what to do with 5 filing cabinets full of member files that are inactive? canceled? didn't fit anywhere else? we have no idea...!)
so here are some before pictures. we've been going in everyday for the past 7 days, so our first week as business owners has been, well, long. but terribly exciting. and such a good fit for us. matt works in the back office where he tries to keep a low profile. however, one member (named 'cookie' by the way!) always yells at him to come out and say hi to her. it's their little ritual already, and it's only been a week!

you should have tipped some of the machines over and sprinkled popcorn around for the before picture... can't wait to see "after"
are you gonna keep the palm tree? its kinda cool... maybe some sand around it and a hammock for matt to lounge in as the customers stumble in the door
